At Geneseo Gospel Concerts, our mission is to fulfill the Great Commission through the powerful medium of Southern Gospel music. Inspired by Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV): “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen,” we strive to spread hope and joy within our community.

 

Growing up going to the small town of Toulon, IL, I was deeply influenced by the Southern Gospel concerts held in their local country church. Those concerts were more than just events; they were moments of connection, inspiration, and faith that left a lasting impact on me. Although those concerts eventually came to an end, the legacy they created continues to resonate in my heart.

 

Now, back in my hometown of Geneseo, where I was born and raised, we are committed to being a beacon of light and a lighthouse for Christ in our local community. As it says in Matthew 5:16 (KJV): “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

 

We believe that little is much when God is in it. Just as in the story of the loaves and fishes (John 6:9, KJV), where a small gift was multiplied to feed thousands, we trust that God can take our humble efforts and transform them into something extraordinary. Our goal is to carry on the legacy of those cherished concerts by hosting events that celebrate faith, joy, and togetherness.
